For the Nova EB, la strada has opted for a sophisticated and extremely durable monocoque construction made of glass fiber-reinforced plastic. High insulation, reliable sealing, and elegant lines are the reward for this effort. The floor plan of the Nova EB is consistently tailored to two people. The new flagship of the Hessian motorhome manufacturer is based on the Mercedes Sprinter with rear-wheel drive. From four-wheel-drive, automatic transmission, and numerous assistance systems to 127 upholstery fabrics, partial leather, and leather variants, the equipment list of the compact land yacht leaves nothing to be desired. The new la strada top model will be on display for the first time at the Caravan Motor Touristik CMT trade fair in Stuttgart. From January 11 to 19, la strada looks forward to welcoming interested visitors to Hall 10, Stand B 51.
When designing the GRP body of the new Nova, the developers focused on clean lines and as few distracting bars, flaps, handles, or hinges as possible. Sophisticated internal hinges on the body door and external flaps, as well as the modern push-to-open locking mechanism, enable clean lines in the exterior design. The connection for the external power supply is now located in the rear garage. The cable is routed through a lockable floor opening. The exterior flaps for the gas and toilet compartments are unlocked using push buttons in the entrance and in the rear garage. The two doors of the rear garage are locked using a remote control on the key ring. The entrance door of the GRP body has been significantly widened. The tinted windows blend seamlessly into the overall appearance. A large rear window lets light and air into the interior and fits snugly into the lines of the GRP monocoque cabin. The awning is seamlessly integrated into a recess in the GRP cabin. Even the ventilation grilles of the refrigerator are painted in the same color as the vehicle. The new la strada flagship thus sets new standards in terms of exterior design.
The interior of the Nova EB is also tasteful. The elegant furniture decor varies with numerous elements in a frosted glass look. Indirect lighting creates an atmospheric evening glow. For the first time, la strada has designed a single bed layout in the Nova series. The beds measure 200 and 189 centimeters in length and 80 centimeters in width. A Froli disc spring system and cold foam mattresses ensure a comfortable night's sleep in both beds. If required, the two beds can be connected to form a single large sleeping area with an additional element. Under the front part of the beds are large pull-out storage compartments for folded clothing and a wardrobe for clothes on hangers. Under the rear part of the beds is a rear garage that can accommodate bicycles and other bulky items of luggage. It is accessible from the driver's and passenger's side via two external flaps and from the interior via a flap.
The kitchen and bathroom are located in the middle section of the Nova EB. Two large pull-out drawers, a cutlery drawer, an open shelf, and two wall cabinets provide storage space for cooking utensils. Ingredients can be stored in an 80-liter refrigerator with automatic energy selection under the two-burner stove with piezo ignition. The additional work surface that can be folded out on the left side of the kitchen unit is very useful. The bathroom opposite has a toilet, cupboards for toiletries, and a standard window. When the sink is folded up, a spacious shower is created, which is separated by a foldable plastic shower screen.
The L-shaped seating area is located directly behind the driver's cab. The Nova EB has four seats secured with three-point seat belts for driving. The bench seat has an Isofix attachment for child seats with top tether. The SKA comfort seats with pneumatic lumbar support and seat heating are equally comfortable for driving and living. With full leather upholstery, seat climate control is even available. A more powerful engine, four-wheel-drive, ten paint finishes, nine wood finishes, 13 furniture finishes, 127 different leather, partial leather, and upholstery covers, as well as an extensive list of optional extras, mean that the new flagship model from la strada leaves virtually nothing to be desired.
At 6.99 meters in length, the largest la strada ever built is still considered compact for the luxury segment. With a standard gross vehicle weight of 4.1 tons, there is a payload reserve of 710 kilograms – ample for a two-person layout of this size.
The base price of the la strada Nova EB with a 120 kW (163 hp) engine is €100,930. In addition to ABS, ASR, ESP, daytime running lights, crosswind assist, and central locking for the cab, the standard equipment also includes an insulated and heated waste water tank, a bathroom window, and a matching awning. With the comfort package, technology package 1, pre-delivery inspection, TÜV, gas inspection, and delivery inspection, the price of the Nova EB is €107,499. Extensive optional extras are also available.
