La Strada Fahrzeugbau has dispensed with the bench seat in the layout of the Regent E, creating space for single beds installed lengthwise. This means that two people can travel and sleep comfortably in the new panel van. With a total length of just 5.93 meters, the Regent E maneuvers nimbly through traffic. Its 3.5-ton gross vehicle weight is driven agilely and confidently by rear-wheel drive and 170 or 190 horsepower. The Regent E is also available as an all-wheel-drive version on request. Driving and living comfort come together in perfect harmony in the new la strada Regent E.
The single beds installed lengthwise in the rear offer great versatility. With lengths of 2 meters and 1.85 meters, individual disc springs from FROLI, and high-quality cold foam mattresses, they promise a high level of sleeping comfort. With a pull-out and additional mattress elements, the single beds in the upper half can also be connected to form a lying surface. At the foot of the beds, the customer has a choice of two options: In option 1, additional storage space for clothing and utensils is located under the foot of the bed. In option 2, a seating area for two can be created in just a few simple steps. A comfortable seat is built at both ends of the beds using upholstered elements, and the table is attached in the middle between the beds. And there you have it: your breakfast table. If you don't want to reconfigure the seats every day, you can also choose to sleep across the bed: simply connect the two single beds in the upper half to form a single sleeping area. Thanks to the body widenings on both sides of the bed, which have also been retained in the Regent E, this creates a transverse bed measuring 1.95 by 1.37 meters.
The headboards of the beds can be folded up across the entire width of the vehicle. This creates more space in the rear storage area for bulky luggage. Also in the rear storage area is a cabinet in the center with pull-out drawers that open towards the interior. This storage cabinet can be removed if necessary to free up even more rear storage space. The rear storage compartment under the beds also houses the Regent E's on-board technology, including the heating, battery, and on-board electrical system. A 16-kilogram gas tank that can be filled from the outside is located under the rear storage compartment.
Additional storage space is located under the beds in numerous drawers and pull-out compartments for clothing and other items. The storage compartments around the beds also provide ample storage space.
Connoisseurs of the Regent series will recognize the folding washbasin in the bathroom from the Regent EB. It folds out for washing and brushing your teeth, and disappears back under the perfectly fitting wood paneling when you want to shower. Numerous separately switchable light strips illuminate the bathroom, making your morning routine easier. A new feature is the folding door, which opens up the entrance to the bathroom without blocking the hallway. A transparent wall element to the hallway, a mini Heki with fly screen and blackout blind, and an optional bathroom window allow daylight into the bathroom.
There is also a change to the kitchen unit in the la strada Regent E. The refrigerator, which can be opened from both sides, is now located at the head of the kitchen unit. This makes it easily accessible from both the interior and the exterior. Since camping life in summer usually takes place in front of the vehicle, it is now easier to take food in and out. The kitchen unit also features a two-burner stove with piezo ignition and a solid cast-iron pot rack. The stove and spacious sink are made of stainless steel in a continuous design, making them easy to clean.
In the front section of the vehicle, in front of the bathroom, la strada has installed a compact wardrobe with a clothes rail, above which there is a sideboard and open storage compartments. Here too, there is a table mount on the floor. This allows customers to choose whether they would prefer to use the table at the front, near the driver and passenger seats, or at the rear, in the seating area converted from the beds.
The la strada Regent E is a compact, versatile, and comfortable panel van. With a base price of around €105,000, it combines agility, driving comfort, and sleeping comfort in a balanced mix—all with the usual high-quality workmanship of la strada Fahrzeugbau GmbH.
