Floor plans with single beds are among the bestsellers in converted panel van motorhomes. With the Avanti E, the Hessian motorhome manufacturer la strada is now presenting a second model with single beds in the Avanti series. With a total length of 6.36 meters, the Avanti E offers enough space for two longitudinal beds measuring 1.85 and 1.95 meters in length. Unlike its big brother, the Avanti EB, the Avanti E is built on the lower Fiat Ducato, which is only 2.65 meters high. This not only gives it a sleeker appearance, but also reduces wind resistance and lowers the center of gravity. The new la strada Avanti E will be on display for the first time at the Caravan Salon trade fair in Düsseldorf. From September 4 to 13, la strada looks forward to welcoming interested visitors in Hall 15 at Stand C 26 and in Hall 5 at Stand A 05.
Inside, the Avanti E differs only slightly from its larger sibling. The most striking distinguishing feature is the storage space above the cab seats, which can be folded up. This creates more headroom above the driver and passenger seats. For living purposes, the cab seats can be rotated to form a comfortable seating area with the bench seat. When driving, there are four seats secured with three-point seat belts. The window seat of the bench has an Isofix attachment with top tether for child seats. The seat and back cushions of the bench are permanently installed and adjustable in angle. This makes the bench equally comfortable for living and driving. There are also two practical floor compartments under the seating area for shoes or other items.
The kitchen unit features a two-burner stove with piezo ignition and a sturdy cast-iron pot rack. The stove and spacious sink are made of stainless steel in a continuous design, making them easy to clean. To the right, at a convenient height, is an 80-liter absorption refrigerator with automatic energy selection.
The bathroom opposite opens with two space-saving hinged doors. A toilet, sink, and storage cabinets are available for daily hygiene. The hand shower on the sink can be pulled out and attached to a shower rail. This creates a shower area with a curtain, for which two drains have also been installed in the shower tray.
The bed arrangement is exactly the same as in its big brother. Two longitudinal beds, 1.85 and 1.95 meters long, are arranged on the right and left sides of the vehicle wall. The aisle between them also serves as access to the two spacious pull-out drawers under the bed, which offer plenty of space for folded clothing. Clothes on hangers can be stored in the closet under the bed on the passenger side. The floor of the bed area has additional practical storage compartments and access to the rear storage space. If required, the gap between the single beds can also be closed. Naturally, this can also be done with an element featuring the Froli disc spring system and cold foam mattress. This creates a generous lying surface measuring 185/195 by 197 centimeters.
The rear section of the bed can be folded up, creating even more storage space in the rear of the Avanti E, which is accessible via the two rear doors. In addition to smaller compartments for accessories, this area also provides access to the two 11-kilogram gas bottles.
The Avanti E is a slimmer alternative to the larger EB for customers who value a lower height for their motorhome but do not want to sacrifice the comfort of a single bed vehicle.
The base price of the la strada Avanti E on a Fiat Ducato with a 103 kW (140 hp) engine is €55,165. With the comfort package, technology package 1, pre-freight, TÜV, gas inspection, and delivery inspection, the price of the Avanti E is €61,254. Extensive optional extras are also available.
