February 9, 2023, Echzell – The fabric selection for motorhomes from la strada Fahrzeugbau GmbH has traditionally been very extensive. Now, five additional fabrics are being added, whose polyester content consists of 100 percent recycled PET bottles. The fabrics, which are certified according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, give plastic bottles a new lease of life and thus conserve natural resources. Two of the fabrics from the optional "Individualpolster Verde" series can be combined with each other. The surcharge for the series fabrics is €398.
In the production of "Individualpolster Verde," the polyester thread is obtained entirely from recycled PET bottles. These are thus put to good use and do not end up as waste. This reduces the environmental impact and at the same time reduces dependence on new petroleum products in fabric production. The polyester thread is then woven with fabric yarn to create an environmentally friendly, durable, and easy-to-clean fabric cover for driver's seats and benches in all motorhomes manufactured by la strada Fahrzeugbau GmbH.
The certification of the fabrics according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 also certifies that all components of the fabrics are harmless to health. The testing is carried out by independent OEKO-TEX® institutes on the basis of a comprehensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog.
