At the upcoming CARAVAN SALON in Düsseldorf, la strada Fahrzeugbau GmbH from Echzell, Hesse, will be showcasing its popular compact motorhomes from the Avanti series on the latest Fiat Ducato for the first time. The Avanti C, Avanti EB, and Avanti XL models on the new Fiat Ducato will be on display in Hall 15, Booth D 26. In addition to new engines that are cleaner and more efficient, la strada has integrated numerous assistance systems and multimedia functions from the new Ducato into the Avanti series for the 2022 season. This represents a major advance in terms of driving comfort. The Regent and Nova series will also feature the latest engines and the new four-wheel-drive from Mercedes Benz.
AVANTI
The exterior appearance of the la strada Avanti models will change only minimally for the 2022 model year. The most striking features are probably the new Fiat logo on the radiator grille, the optional full-LED headlights, and the optional 18-inch rims. However, the new Avanti models make a big leap forward in terms of driving comfort. The progress is visible in the redesigned dashboard, which features either a 7-inch or 10-inch multimedia package from Fiat. The new steering wheel not only looks good and feels good in the hand, it also works with electric power steering, which steers the Avanti much more precisely through traffic. The standard electric parking brake also increases comfort, while the standard crosswind assist increases safety.
La strada has packaged the Fiat Ducato's numerous new assistance systems into three optional technology packages that can be selected independently of each other. One includes emergency brake assist, lane departure warning, rain and light sensors, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, and blind spot assist. The next technology package consists of adaptive cruise control, speed assist, attention assist, and a 360-degree parking aid with graphic display. The last technology package includes keyless entry & go, a 10-inch multimedia and navigation device, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and a 230-volt power outlet in the dashboard.
Starting with the 2022 model year, the engine range for all Avanti models will begin with the 140 Multijet 3 with 103 kW (140 hp) and 350 Newton meters of torque as standard. The 160 Multijet 3 with 117 kW (160 hp) and 380 Newton meters of torque and the 180 Multijet 3 with 130 kW (180 hp) and 380 Newton meters of torque are available as options. All engines feature dual AdBlue injection and comply with the Euro VI E emissions standard.
Regent and Nova
In the 2022 season, the Regent and Nova series will also be converted to the latest Mercedes Benz engines. A 125 kW (170 hp) engine will then be standard in both series. The 140 kW (190 hp) version will be available as an option. The latest Mercedes-Benz engines will also comply with the Euro VI E emissions standard. In conjunction with the new 9G-Tronic automatic transmission in the Mercedes Sprinter, the new 4matic four-wheel-drive will also be available in all models in the Regent and Nova series.
