30th March 2020, Echzell/ Germany – The Nova EB, Nova of the third generation presented by la strada Fahrzeugbau GmbH in January 2020, has been distinguished with the Red Dot Product Design Award. An international jury of 40 design experts did test, discuss and value the la strada Nova EB which they had on the spot at the Red Dot headquarters in Essen / Germany. The “Red Dot” is the award for high quality design and only gets allocated to products with outstanding conception.
When designing the GRP cabin of the new Nova, the developers set special value on clear lines, preferably no disturbing locks, traps or handles. Laborious internal hinges are mounted in the entrance door as well as in the outside trapdoors, modern push-to-open locks enable a clean overall exterior look. The outside trapdoors for the gas compartment and the one for the toilet cassette get unlocked through a press button located in the garage and in the entrance area. Both garage doors get locked via the remote control at the key ring. The darkened windows are flush mounted in the exclusive appearance of the vehicle. Just as does a large rear window besides bringing light and air inside the superstructure. The awning is tight-fitted in the foreseen cavity of the GRP cabin. Even the outside ventilation grills of the refrigerator are painted in the same colour like the vehicle. The exterior design of the new la strada flagship definitely sets the standard!
„The winner of the Red Dot Award introduces a distinguished product which does not only convince through its aesthetics but also through an incomparable functionality. Since then, the highly desirable Red Dot distinction represents an international seal of high renown for excellent design quality. The awardees are introduced in year books, museums and online.
